Norah and Andrew’s County Offaly wedding was a truly international affair. The couple flew in from Australia in order for Norah to be married in the local village church that she had grown up with. The traditional Catholic ceremony was well attended with guests from many countries including France, Dubai and Kenya!
This is the second time I have captured a wedding at this venue, having videoed the wedding of Norah’s sister two years previously. Click here to check out Geraldine and Michael’s Wedding. The wedding was no less spectacular with both bride and groom immaculately turned out for the occasion.
One particular highlight of the wedding was a special video that was played at the venue after the speeches that had video contributions from well wishers who were unable to attend as well as a comical slide show showing childhood pictures of the couple and photos showing the previous years they have spent together.
This wedding was also an opportunity to showcase some new equipment including a steady cam and slider that helped to add a new professional look and fluidity to the footage. The slider can be seen with the opening shots inside the church and the steady cam shots are dotted throughout the highlights video, especially with the shots taken at the venue near Kilkenny Castle.
